Heart Shaped Beach Stones What could me more romantic than the beach when it comes to Valentines Day? Here are some beach related inspirations and ideas for Valentines Day crafts, things to do, to buy and how to decorate for the big day!

First of all, I think its a great idea to just go to the beach (if you can), write your love message in the sand, or set up another special Valentines greeting (like the one with the rose), then take a beautiful photograph of the sand and the ocean and have it printed on canvas to give to your Valentine on the day. Here are a few inspirations on what kind of photos you can take (click on the pictures to see them full size):

Your special greeting or message could be as simple as two hearts, or you could do a written messages in the sand like

  • I Love You
  • Be My Valentine
  • You & Me Forever

Really, your imagination is the limit on this one! I personally like the ones without words, for some reason I think they express more feeling! But that’s probably just me 😉 Stunning is also the pink heart on the greyed out background – if you know your way around photo shop you can play with your images and create some stunning pictures!

In my search for beach and coastal style Valentines Day ideas, I came across a little shop on Etsy called Med Beach Stones, where the owner sells lots of artwork made out of natural heart shaped beach stones! They look absolutely gorgeous, and there are so many different ideas to choose from:

Heart Shaped Beach Stones With Valentines Day Message

I love these beautiful stones, personalized with little sweet messages! And it looks so stunning in the thick bowl-like glass… I wouldn’t mind getting a bowl of these even without loving words! To spice it up for Valentines Day, maybe tie a red (or blue – like the ocean) ribbon around.  Gorgeous! Talk about “I give you my heart – solid like a rock”!

“Med Beach Stones” also has some canvas pictures to choose from, which are so simple but make a big statement and have an impact all by themselves: Don’t you love them?

Very cute to use for little love messages on the fridge are these beach stone fridge magnets:

Then, see what I found on another blog called Iheartnaptime.net – they got very creative and did a beautiful lipstick heart and framed it in a nice wooden frame. You could easily coat the frame in sand, or decorate it with seashells. You can also leave it au naturale – it looks great! If the red is too much, there is always the option to do the same picture in different hues of blue.

Here are some materials for you, if you want to go ahead and create a “piece of heart” like the one above 😉

And then there is of course the driftwood heart… I love these, they are simple, rustic looking but on closer look have a lot of details, like this one seen on Elkhorn Design; can you see the shells integrated into the design?

They are available to buy right here:  Driftwood Hearts on Amazon. Just in case you can’t get around to make one 😉

Happy Decorating! And have a great Valentines Day!
