Glass Fishing Floats

Glass fishing floats have to be some of the most charming beach decorations out there. They bring a real authentic ocean breeze into a room where they are displayed in. They work probably best when grouped in a cluster of different colors, or showcased on a fishing net on a wall.

I personally love the round ones in different colors (red, blue, green) that are enclosed in a rope net. You can simply hang them on the wall, or around a patio – it looks brilliant!

As you can see here at Glass Float Junkie, glass fishing floats can come in several different sizes and also shapes, – not just round! If you get a nice glass bowl, fill it with sand and some seashells (either collected yourself or bought), and place one or more floats on the top, you will have a very unique display of sea decor items.

You can read up on some really interesting facts about glass fishing floats on Glass Float Junkies website, and also read up on her beach combing trips and how she found some of her treasures, let alone buy some of these sea treasures in her glass float shop.

If you are more into the artistic than the rustic kind of fishing float, you can’t go past the blown glass floats from Avalon Glass Works, they are stunning in color and design:
